Homebuyer Wallet and Housing Assistance Programs: Our Strategic Community Goals
Our Community Goals
- One of our community goals is to increase the homeownership rate in America. In other words, we want to “grow the pie”. We believe that everyone can and should own a home, with a focus on building new houses. That’s because new home demand then fuels more jobs and more opportunities for our communities.
We also want to increase home affordability. By creating better home purchase packages. We help homebuyers by listing all the available Housing Assistance Programs and recommending the best ones for them.
Target Focus Areas
- Increase homeownership for low-income families or families earning 30-50% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Increase homeownership in rural communities.
- Increase the number of African American homeowners.
- Increase the number of Hispanic and Latino homeowners.
- Increase the homeownership of other ethnicities who have been marginalized in the past.
Beliefs and Values
Respect Everyone
We believe that everything begins with respect.
To us respect means valuing people’s time, treating them equally, telling the truth and doing what you say you will do.
Strive For Simplicity
Embrace Change – Traditions need to be respected
Target Focus Areas
We believe everyone has a right to stable, reliable and safe shelter. A place to come home to every day; it provides safety, stability and dignity. A platform to build the life they want.
According to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Basic Needs The first and most basic of all needs are those to do with physical survival. This is the need for food, water, and shelter. If a person can’t satisfy these areas they dominate their thoughts. Stopping them from socializing, working, learning and contributing to their communities.
Home Ownership is Earned
Owning a home is simple but takes responsibility and commitment. We believe, Everyone who contributes to our communities should be able to own a home. That is safe, reliable and affordable. A great community is a beautiful ecosystem of people working together. Contributing to your community can come in many forms from your job to volunteering. Within communities we compensate some roles more than others but they are all necessary and valuable.
A doctor can’t get to the hospital without a mechanic to fix their car. They do not earn the same amount of money but both are important to their community.
That is why purchase assistance programs are imperative to helping bridge the gap for some community members that might not be in high earning roles
Abundance Mindset
We believe in an Abundance Mindset. Real estate and housing has been built on the idea of scarcity. There is only so much therefore if someone gets it I can’t have it. We have one word for that…
Bullshit.
Yes. There is some truth to scarcity as it relates to land in specific locations. If you are nervous about making sure there is enough to go around. The US has over 1 billion acres of undeveloped land. Not all of that is buildable but we have the space. While at the same time the needs of our communities are ever changing so change is going to happen…embrace it
Our Story
homebuyerwallet.com sprang from the collaborative efforts of Kameron Kang and Andres Diz, fueled by Kam’s deep experience in residential real estate. Kam’s expertise lies in navigating first-time homebuyer’s programs around the Washington DC area, where he spent years hosting over 500 seminars focused on making homeownership attainable through these programs.
During these sessions, Kam encountered firsthand the significant challenges and frustrations many faced in the homebuying journey. A recurring question from attendees was whether there was a resource to independently research these assistance programs.
The absence of such a unified platform revealed a glaring need in the real estate homebuying process — a simple, accessible way for people to discover and understand programs that could make owning a home more affordable. This realization sparked the concept of Homebuyer Wallet in 2022, leading to the official launch of the company in early 2023.
Homebuyer Wallet was founded with a clear vision: to make homeownership possible for everyone, everywhere.
